A Season of Slowness

This month, as we are very much in the season of winter (despite the mild temperatures and weather), our bodies and beings are still of the natural tendency to tend inward.

At the end of last month, an overwhelming surge came over me: It is time to rest.

Since learning human design a couple years ago, I am even clearer on how to work with my unique energy. When I reach a season that calls deeply for rest, I honour it.

I’m entering a season of slowness - not doing more than I need to. Not creating more work for myself. I am soaking in every opportunity for gentle living.

I’m entering a season of stepping back, observing, asking what is most important and slowly one-by-one stepping forward into them.

It’s a season of being precious with my time and not bypassing days or filling them with just anything.

I’m entering a season of studying, taking in new learnings and re-inspiring myself with what I do in the world and how.

It’s a season of buying lamps off marketplace and lighting candles in the evening.

This season is about connecting to my intuition regularly and letting it provide meaning for me.

It’s a season of spending quality time with family.

I’m entering a season of genuine rest and becoming from that place.

So if you see me “doing”, please offer that gentle reminder and ask me what embodied being feels like - this is where I’ll be living from through February.

Join me if you like. x

J
